New high power Amplifier and Lensed Horn release
Introducing the new AS0104-700/300 dual band solid state amplifier. This amplifier has been designed to compliment the existing MILMEGA 1-4GHz range of amplifiers.
Designed to exceed the requirements of the automotive radar pulse test standards when used in conjunction with the new MILMEGA lensed horn, enabling ease of calibration using CW power.
Two key frequency bands have been defined based on the likely threat present in the environment today 1.2-1.4GHz and 2.7-3.1GHz some manufacturers extend the higher band to 3.2GHz. Tests levels are typically 600V/m but in some cases 300V/m, this is defined by the vehicle manufacturer’s standard (Ford / GM etc.)
The MILMEGA AS0104-700/300 has been optimised to offer the maximum available power in these radar bands.
Utilising MILMEGA’s dual band philosophy, each band covering only one octave (1-2GHz and 2-4 GHz) and the lowest test frequencies are 1.2GHz and 2.7GHz in each band. The first harmonics of these signals therefore would be at 2.4GHz and 5.4GHz which are well outside of the operating range of each band and they would be highly attenuated by the combiner circuits. This enables the AS0104-700/300 to be operated at its full saturated power and still meet the required harmonic performance.
